Fenton Pink Rosalene Slagg Glass Dish Two Handled Butterfly Pattern Bon Bon Vintage 1970s This is a gorgeous Fenton handled bonbon or dish in their exotic and lovely "Rosalene" color. A blushing pink slag glass, made with pure gold. Fenton developed the color after much work in 1975 and put it in the regular line the next year. It was attractive and sold well, but the formula corroded the melting pots. These production problems forced Fenton to discontinue the color altogether in 1978. Future productions of pink Rosalene would be on an extremely limited basis -- never again would the color enter the regular line. Fenton manufactured this particular bonbon or dish during 1976 and 1977 only. Fenton Item #8230 RE. The last picture is from Fenton's 1976 catalog, showing a bonbon dish like this. Measurements:  8 1/4" W x 6" D x 2 3/4" H ~1.15 lbs Condition:  Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or damage. Normal wear for age. Please see all photos.
