Feral Childe referenced Library of Congress images of the great American landscape, Dust Bowl and Farm Security Administration portraits of migrants searching and persevering for a better life. They considered the homesteading, slow food, and localvore movements, and revisted some of our favorite films, Terence Malick's Badlands and Days of Heaven and books about the land like John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath, Willa Cather's My Antonia and O Pioneers!, and Pearl S Buck's The Good Earth.
