Those new chips in each and every new credit/debit card nowadays work by using radio waves.

tayloredtoshine For example-- when you purchase something from your local Walmart using your chip enabled card, you insert your card into their credit card machine so that they can receive your card info through radio waves. Some of the latest technology in credit card machines requires NO DIRCT CONTACT to read your cards info, just very close proximity.
