Outstanding barely worn Filson Tin cloth field jacket. Tin cloth is a waxed 100% cotton canvas that is quite stiff initially until worn in over time. The fabric is light and weatherproof. It’s uninsulated for minimal bulk and maximum versatility. Wear it over layers as a shield against wind, rain, brush, and debris. Nettles and thorny blackberry vines just glance off the surface, and sawdust and wood chips brush off with ease. Filson's iconic waxed-cotton Tin Cloth fabric has earned a reputation for unfailing protection in the rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest for nearly a century. There is the slightest sign of minimal wear on the top back right (pictured). More likely due to storage in a closet than actual outdoor wear.
