DISCONTINUED They’re made from Fjällräven’s Lite Eco fabric which is a blend of 65 per cent recycled polyester and 35 per cent cotton. Now this fabric is tough enough in itself, but as we said, the Bergtagen range is designed with gritty mountaineering in mind, and that’s why Fjällräven have decided to apply Corylon overlays in certain areas for reinforcement. It’s a fabric that’s basically impenetrable, so you can be sure that there’ll be absolutely no wear and tear on the knees, backside or instep. There are plenty of other nice design features as well, like the ankle cuff volume adjusters, the built in RECCO reflector for search and rescue detection and an equipment loop on the waist. If you’re wearing these trousers with big mountaineering boots then the quarter-length zips around the ankles should prove useful as well.
