Florsheim Kenmoor 92604 V-Cleat Imperial Long Wing, 10 B

The classic American long-wing gunboat, as fine a shoe as has ever been made. You can't find additional information at vcleat.com; warning, you might find a rabbit hole or two. This pair retains the original "v-Cleat" heel, but it's been worn almost through the first layer of leather on one shoe and just beyond on the other. Because the V-cleat is enclosed by leather, these shoes were made between 1973 and 1988, they are least 34 years old. The rest of the sole remains in excellent condition. The "green thread" uppers are in excellent condition with no cracks in the leather but some stray fiber from the (still intact) threads. Will need some new strings, purple, perhaps. Duplicating these new in an Alden or Allen Edmonds would start in the $450-600 range, but if you're looking for a pair to wear instead of put in a collection, these will suffice.
