When you see people with more than us, let it all go, perception and reality easily gets skewed... if they had it all, and yet can leave, then why should I stay? It is a slippery slope when suicides become headlines. PLEASE, if you need help, reach out, to loved ones, for anonymity..prevention lines, but really... friends. For perspective, I offer that I’ve lived in houses without windows, slept on cement floors, received food from the homeless who took pity. And yet, I am!!!Embrace life!

thrives Thank you. I struggled with suicide for years. Some days it's still hard to go on. Kate Spade was always one of my favorite fashion icons. I used to want to be just like her. This really hits home with me. I can stop crying over this.

lchallenger Your picture caught my attention but your words did even more. As a person who struggles with depression, it is hard to reach out to someone. Too many people judge or hold grudges. I have two beautiful children who are my joy but as a single working mom (partner was cheating and I was a SAHM at the time-split last summer) I have immense guilt leaving my children at daycare. when they make new memories that I’m no longer a part of because I’ve witnessed everything firsthand for years.

lchallenger Deciding if how much they see/talk to my ex is the right amount. Everything is worry and second guessing, which leads to lots of doubt. Depression is a horrible thing and having positive people around is the best way to see the light again.

poshielisa Got the chills reading your post. Wow. I love that, embrace life. Yes, depression & suicide doesn't discriminate. I've been in dark places, near the end of my rope, sad, depressed...but somehow I've always clung to that will for survival. I always see hope, the beauty of life in all its ugliness...this gift of...existence. I'm so glad I get the chance to live and experience this wonderful thing called life.

janeannm I 2 lived thru poverty,violence,illness,depression, etc.I live 4 God,my kids&my animals now that my mother went back 2 God.It’s crazy because I just wrote about yesterday.I believe if those who R suffering don’t reach out as many times as possible 4 help,then they may resort 2 such a sad end.We should always be on the lookout 4 those in depression,for they need us so.God help us all 2 cope in this life full of struggles,which we need to make heavenly no matter what hellishness exists.💕
