Fornasetti is a luxury artistic design company founded in 1940 in Milan by Piero Fornasetti, now run by the founder's son, Barnaba Fornasetti, which is known internationally for the creation of porcelain and handmade decorative objects for the home. Fornasetti plates are made in Italy by Fornasetti Milano. The Fornasetti Atelier, led by Barnaba Fornasetti, is responsible for producing all Fornasetti objects by hand in Milan. The company's origins can be traced back to the 1930s, when Piero Fornasetti opened art printworks in Milan. Fornasetti was an Italian painter, sculptor, and designer who created more than 13,000 products during his career. His work is considered to be an icon of Italy's design brilliance and can be found in museums and private collections around the world.
