Franklin Mint Porcelain "Butterflies of the World" on individual flowers

For the discerning collector...TWO beautiful and ever so delicate Franklin Mint Porcelain "Butterflies of the World". The "FIERY ACRAEA ON HIBISCUS FLOWER" and the "ADONIS BLUE BUTTERFLY WITH FLOWER". These Franklin Mint porcelain miniature butterfly figurines are part of the “Butterflies of the World line produced in the 1980s. They are approx 2.5” L and dated 1985. EXCELLENT condition with no damage. they were crafted in fine porcelain with delicate hand painting. Each work is an original design by Brian Hargreaves created for the Franklin mint. There are 14 sculptures are in excellent condition. They come with an identification card/informational card for each. Also available is a glass display case that is 13 1/8" tall, 11 7/8" wide and 3 3/4" deep. The British artist Brian Hargreaves, was originally commissioned to portray butterflies of the gardens of Buckingham Palace for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. After achieving renown, he then brought his talents to design an original collection exclusively for The Franklin Mint. These are two of 14 other rare and detailed butterflies in the collection.
