In great vintage condition, one Frankoma 6T Lazybones Terracota w. Desert Gold Matte Glaze Large Teapot w. Lid. Here we have a beautiful vintage Frankoma Pottery teapot in the Lazy Bones pattern and Desert Gold color. This piece was made in Oklahoma by the iconic Frankoma Pottery company, founded by John Frank--the name comes from his last name combined with the last three letters of his state. After many changes of ownership, the company today focuses on art pottery, but in the day it also made many styles and colors of cookware, all with locally dug clay. This Desert Gold color is beautiful with a creamy almost pale yellow overcoat on a darker brown-tan-beige. Frankoma stamp on the bottom as well as GT. The piece measures 6-1/4" tall by about 10" across from handle to spout, 6" in diameter at the center, weight 1.5lbs, holds 4 cups. Without any signs of use, with no chips nor cracks, the staining on the interior is from the glaze. Colors of the desert in Southwestern style, perfect for the rustic home.
