Red Oklahoma clay gives these 10.5" dinner plates their distinctive earthy look. The scalloped plates resemble a cloverleaf giving them an organic feel. Each piece is unique as a creamy yellow glaze has been hand-sprayed over each plate.
Please be aware that there is variation of glaze and clay color within the "Plainsman Gold" series. I can not guarantee that the plate will exactly match plates that you already own.
Plates are marked Frankoma 5F.
John Frank founded his Frankoma Pottery factories in Norman and Supulpa, Oklahoma after serving as a professor of ceramics at the University of Oklahoma from 1927-1936. This pattern is no longer in production.
The plate you receive will be in good, or better, used condition. There are no chips or cracks in the clay. You will find moderate signs of use on the plate surface. You may find shallow utensil marks, mild to moderate crazing of glaze, and scuffs.
They come in sets of 2
