From the Frankoma pottery on old route 66 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Vintage 1975~ish
A 6' trivet in the "prairie green" glaze.
The front has the entire Cherokee Sequoyah alphabet debossed in golden brown in three concentric circles.
Debossed on the back: "Sequoyah created the first written Indian language. His syllabary, or alphabet, was declared official by the Cherokee council in 1825. First newspaper printed in Cherokee in 1828"
Condition is nearly perfect! No chips or cracks.
