Hi! Where does it show they're an 18/20 plus size? I'm hunting for a 34 waist & thought a 35 might work, sin e they're skinnies. Would you mind measuring the waist while flat & unstretched?

@klosetklearance Let me go to the actual Free People site. It seems like it says it on there. The girl I got them from also said they’re an 18/20 on her listing. I’m not at home and won’t be until tomorrow but even then I don’t have a measuring tape.

@klosetklearance let me compare the waist measurements from their site compared to a different pair of my jeans and I’ll let you know the difference between them. I have a pair of size 32s from Free People which is a 12 and these are the exact same size waistband wise. I can send a picture of those together when I get home. I remember the site saying a 35 is an 20 but I can’t find it now.

@klosetklearance Okay so these are a 36.5 waist and my American Eagle skinnies are a 38 waist. So they run quite a bit smaller with no stretch. What size are you normally in jeans? I’m usually a 20/22 depending on brand and these wouldn’t go over my thighs.

@jessicaqueen616 Hi! I float between an 8 to sometimes a 12....but most of the time a 10. My favorite pair of jeans are a 29!? Weird, right? The problem is, no 2 makers are alike. It also depends on where the material was in the stack then it gets cut. It's weird. I watched a documentary on it. Same with shoes. I looked at other people's listings on these and I swear- people had different measurements up for the exact same size! Killin' me! lol

@klosetklearance I’d say they’d fit you!!! Plus they have the lace up that you can tighten and there’s a panel inside that helps them stretch or tighten as needed! I hate the inconsistency in sizing between brands. I really hoped these were going to fit because I’m all about the lace up look but there was no way they were going to fit me even though they’re “curvy and plus size” but yet people who wear a 2x/3x can buy an Xl from Free People in the tops and stuff and they fit. Crazy!

@jessicaqueen616 lol Yep! Drives me nuts too! This is why I never go by size. I ALWAYS want measurements! I think these are going to end up to be big on me...bc honestly,, I don't want anything bigger than a 34, bc that's my fat days and when I stop eating sugar crap, I will lose it, like I always do;) & I will be swimming in anything bigger- is my hesitancy.

@jessicaqueen616 Here's what you can do to insure a proper fit :) Take out your favorite top or jeans or even shoes and measure. Always go by the true measurements, not the tag size. The tag is just a good "starting" point. 😉
