Very warm. It doesn’t completely close. It has two snaps along the bottom edge that creates a slight criss cross at the bottom giving the jacket a ‘v’ shape when closed.
There are also draw strings at the bottom.

@bsimon07 yes. But it doesn’t stay closed at the top. Where it V’s in the picture is where it is open when on. So your upper chest and neck are open. Personally, I would wear it as my every day warm coat even tho it is warm.
