If only this still fit! Beautiful tonal herringbone in a hard-to-wrinkle, beautifully draping Tencel fabric in an A-line, side zip, smooth waisted silhouette. I still have one in 2P, and i wear it year round- versatile and deceptively comfortable! In this case "Petite" refers to the length of the skirt: mid to upper shin if you arent petite (or have long legs), just below the calf if you are petite. (Freeport Studio was a more dressy, business-appropriate branch of L.L.Bean. Excellent quality!)

in_delirium I'll see if I can get that measured for you this weekend, @myhappyjourney In the meantime, I can tell you that it fits below the waist with a slightly curved waistline (as pictured in 2nd photo)- I wore it hanging on my hips, but it could be just below your navel, too.

in_delirium @myhappyjourney Here are the measurements: Length: 33" Waist: 28" With it being an A-line skirt below the waist, 8" down might not be exactly hips. But 8" fr waist is 41" (which should give you an idea of what it measures at 6 1/2 or 7", where your hips might be). HTH!
