French Oak Barrel by Ernesto Rodriguez for Pier 1 Wine Country Series

Ernesto Rodriguez was born in Cuba and moved to the US when he was 9 years old. In this " Wine Country" series, done exclusively for Pier 1 Imports, Ernesto Rodriguez discovered Napa Valley ablaze with the fiery palette of fall. His penchant for choosing the path less traveled led him to the back roads and small turn of the century vineyards. Part of the appeal of Rodriguez's work is his unique style and technique. He first shoots a color Polaroid and then manipulates and enhances the photo with special tools to give the image the right quality of atmosphere and intensity of feeling. This process heightens the mood and dream-like quality of his images.
