@josephine1000 I know the feeling. My family and I are on the verge of moving as well. We have only been here at our current residence pushing 3 years. The standard of living here in Los Angeles has gotten exponentially high and we are exploring other areas to accomodate our needs as we are getting older.

@josephine1000 We have a ranch in the high desert. Will be moving there too. Lots of our friends live internationally: 6 months in the Phils and 6 months here or so. Cheaper there for sure. But have lived here longer than there.

@josephine1000 Long vacation. I have a friend who lives there. She is heavily involved in Muay Thai. She is some sort of a celebrity there w a Pastor husband who is also into Muay Thai...Her name is Zina Docto.She is Caucasian married to a Thai.

@chic2fabulous omg! that’s a tough sport . We closed our business in 2015 ‘ sold our home changed our lives - simplified (downsized early) & have been traveling all over since . We leave in winters here looking for our snow bird location . What’s it like in high dessert ?

@josephine1000 There is a huge wealth disparity in the high desert. You are either wealthy or poor. The gentrification or just overall improvements is not as fast as Palmdale. Our place has golf resorts and that makes is a haven for wealthy people.

@josephine1000 Simplifying one's life is a great thing. Traveling and experiencing other cultures is amazing. My husband and I are innthat stage too. We just have to recoup some fiscal losses wc is why moving to less expensive area is a great thing.
