Brand new pair of pointe shoes (yep, they're real)... Never used! Bought them, sewed on the ribbons and decided thy were too small. Dumb move on my part, but hopefully a blessing to someone new! These are extremely high quality, comfortable (as much as that can happen) shoes. If you're not a ballerina, these can be used for fun decorations in any room!

kelc @mrsmadariaga hi there! Thank you! I feel your pain on that one- danced when I was younger and took a ten year break. Now I'm 31 and doing pointe! It is a lot harder the second time around!!! And you have such a cute closet! Ill let you know if I can buy anything anytime soon. :) thanks again!

mrsmadariaga @kelc How funny I just turned 31 last week on the 12th and have been thinking about getting back to dance at least just for the stretching and fun of ballet. But I haven't started yet. You've given me inspiration to start looking for classes. Thanks.

samnl94 I am 19 and have done very little ballet, but I have done other types of dance... I really want to be on pointe!! I just feel like it's too late because I have never been on pointe and I was told the older you are the harder it is

kelc @sam_leslie94 that's so cool! I love dance in general and have done other kinds as well, but pointe was a little dream of mine. At 19 it is SO not too late for you and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! It is definitely hard but because I'm older my muscles are actually more developed and sometimes I pass the younger ones by! I would say they just have more endurance and flexibility. My real struggle has actually been the time commitment- knowing i could go a lot further if i could have a better commitment. I say if I can do it you can do it! It will be harder at first bc its painful but you adjust. There are two women in my class over 50 who do it as well! Just make sure you're doing it with a teacher who will properly train you and be able to assess when you're ready to be on pointe. But if it's something you want to do, take advantage of being 19 vs 30 for sure!

kelc @sam_leslie94 well, you'd definitely want to train properly or that is a risk. It hurts for sure! But if you are taught technique you should be just fine. :)

chae11270 I'm sooooo saving up for these, there my size and everything, since we're all talking about dance :).... I started when I was 2, jazz tap ballet hiphop & modern, I had to stop at 10 when I moved, I haven't been in a class since then I'm only 13, but I'm so ready to get back in, but there's financial issues, so for now I'm just practicing on my own and keeping educated on all my dance terms!
