I do not consider this a waist shaper but a smoother. It will probably do more for someone who is willing to squeeze into them a little more than I am, but I like the hold it provides me. There's a little pull in but not a lot. Again, this might change if you are willing to squeeze into a smaller size. Tag size is 4X with recommended fit of 1X (size listed).
