I’ve used these for 2 months and still have not had to treat them with a sealant. 686 used infiDRY to create a waterproof yet breathable layer to keep your hands dry. 300g of infiLOFT on the back of the Mitt and 100g in the palm. I found the Rodeos to be effective in keeping my hands warm down to -10 degrees. One of my main complaints with leather mitts is the palm often shows signs of wear or comes apart quickly. The Rodeo Mitt uses a Split Leather Palm reinforcement which has proved to be very durable. Hand drags and grabs have not had an impact on the palms.
