GORGEOUS VINTAGE 1960 Art Cross-stitched Linen Tablecloth When I spotted this gorgeous cross-stitched table cloth I had to purchase it for my closet. This is art work! Having grown up going through grade school in the 60’s my mother always had a sewing project in process and handwork. She sewed almost all of the dresses, tops and slacks for my sister and I as well as herself. My great aunt designed clothing in LA, using a grocery sack to make her patterns, and was one of my mother’s “inspirations”. At 6 my mother started teaching me to sew. We enjoyed many years of working on projects together which probably influenced my decision to become a home economics teacher. When we empty nested I repurposed mittens etc out of wool sweaters. Then after much encouragement from my husband and daughter I am using my gifting to personally shop for people all over the USA. This is one of my best finds! I’ve made just a few hand stitched pieces of art so I have a lot of appreciation for the beautiful work this creator finished. Stunning!
