A hybrid between a typical hardshell and a windbreaker. It has a waterproof membrane and a belay-compatible waterproof zipper at only a slight weight premium from a windbreaker, with 10x the protection from wind and rain. Lightweight hood, but no pit zips. A really nice piece for moving fast in the mountains in potentially bad weather. If it's really bad weather, bring the hard or softshell. In excellent condition, no signs of wear.
