Ganeshi Lall & Son Black Velvet Clutch Embroidered with Gold Winged Symbol

This 7-1/2 x 5 inch clutch has been in my family for decades. I inherited it from my mother in the 1980s, but she had it as long as I can remember. I would guess she got it in the 1940s or 50s. It has an enigmatic, esoteric winged design on the front, looking like an Egyption or even a military design. The design is elegant, not busy. On the back is an embroidered strap you can slip your hand through. The label inside reads "Ganeshi Lall & Son Jewellers Agra (India) Cairo (Egypt) Made in India" The velvet has no holes or tears. The only flaw is in the very bottom crease inside, the lining has come apart in a very small area as I show in the last image. looking down inside it. Starting from the 1st enterprise in Agra, India, it now has 2 establishments in Agra, as well as showrooms in Calcutta, Cairo and New York, plus a historical gallery located at the family’s ancestral home in Agra, Shanti Niwas (House of Peace). Sorry I couldn't get all of the lint from it, something I didn't want to do too vigorously, black velvet seems to be a magnet for floating fibers. I leave it to someone more knowledgeable.
