s/p means small/petit (small in french). it's like when the tag says sm/ch for small/chico. Gap petites have the word petite on the label, or the tag sp (no slash).

@912gw hi— thanks for your feedback but this is actually a petit size small NOT a regular small. It came in regular, petit and tall versions and I specifically purchased the petit.
