bellechicnoire @mira285 the back of the pants have elastic on the waistband - that area measures approximately 32 inches. Measurement under waistband seam to seam is about 36 on the medium. Depending on how you plan to wear them - if the waistband rests on your belly you might want a larger pair for comfort during pregnancy
