Gene Meyer Tie

It doesn't get any more fun than Gene Meyer! In terms of a designer, he might just be my favorite. He was beloved by celebrities, graphic designers and architects and it's easy to see why. His ties are actual works of art, using the constraints of the tie itself as a canvas to showcase color and geometric design. You can tell he enjoyed his work. This silk tie has firm, straight lines of color with a glorious, color off-set, polka-dot underside that may be just for you, but wears like a special secret. After starting with men's accessories, Meyer moved into the sportswear arena for men and women in 2000. There hasn't been much runway presence since then, but Meyer's licensing business spans everything from rugs to fabrics. He recently designed an exclusive line of men's and women's clothing for Marshall Fields department store. The Look: Simple separates set off with vibrant, clean, geometrical graphic designs.
