Hi!
Do you know how old this is?
And do you know much about the brand?
Thank you

@jaunesoleil81 Hello and thank you greatly for your interest! This watch was made in the mid-late 1990’s to early 2000’s. Geneve is a luxury Swiss watch brand, with watches usually made by high-end watch makers and then receiving the “Geneve” branding. Geneve should not be confused with Geneva of the Geneva Watch Group which produces lower end fashion watches. Geneve watches are well made of high quality parts. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you again for your interest!

@dudebuyssells ok thanks for all the info! I have a couple questions-
1) this Genève watch or the Seiko with the white and gold dial; which is a better watch?
2) is a wind up watch or a battery operated watch better?
Thank you!

@jaunesoleil81 My pleasure! Both watches have their differences. Long term, Seikos have more replacement parts available, because there were many more made and sold. The Seiko has a larger dial and the Geneve is smaller. They both work well and keep accurate time. Geneve, in general, are more rare, but this particular Seiko is rather rare too. Otherwise, they are pretty similar. Both are quartz movements and use batteries. (More to follow)

@jaunesoleil81 Battery vs manual/winding can be a personal preference. Manual winding are more susceptible to maintenance problems. They can pick up magnetization, which can cause them to slow down, stop, or lose time. Quartz/battery are not as finicky and are typically less expensive to maintain. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you again for your interest!
