Here is a genuine 1950’s vintage brown Mouton sheared lamb fur jacket. It's from my collection. This one I can still wear but am keeping one just like it that is a little larger!! So my loss is your gain!
It is a size: Small/Medium (Please check the measurements before you buy!)
It's real sheared lamb pelt with gray taffeta lining with stripes and circles. Has a rounded collar. Pockets have braid trim. Color is a deep reddish brown. It is in excellent condition for it’s age. It has been stored.
Mouton fur (North America) or beaver lamb (UK) is sheepskin which has been processed to resemble beaver or seal fur (mouton is French for "sheep"). Mouton is considered to be a “politically” correct fur because it is lambskin whose hair has been straightened, chemically treated, and thermally set to produce a moisture-repellent finish that looks like beaver fur.
