mlgood Hi, It looks like the handles are discolored / darkened is that correct or just the lighting ? Also it the strap actually split or what it the black spot on it? This is a beautiful color I am just curious as to how significant the damage is as I know with exotic skin it can’t easily be fixed :( However, I have always wanted this colorThanks in advance

chicologie @mlgood hi! The handles are darkened. There’s a slight greying all over that’s typical of alligator that’s had a lot of hand contact, and the brown areas are from friction wear that’s gone through the dye. A good cobbler should be able to color match the handles with leather paint though, if you wanted it to look like new. When it’s being held, it’s much harder to tell from the front- looks like shadows almost.

chicologie @mlgood I’m really not sure about the spot on the long strap- I never used it but I think it may be a natural crack in the scales.

mlgood @chicologie thank you so much for the follow up!! To be honest. It looks like very heavy wear:(. I am especially concerned about the cracks at the strap and the one I now can see on the base of the handle- I have experience with exotic skin bags and I don’t think that cannot successfully be remedied. Too bad because I own this bag in alligator in another color and it is gorgeous and this is a such great discount! I will keep looking at your other items as you have great closet!! Thanks again :)

chicologie @mlgood no problem! I’m not the best at being gentle with my favorite bags and I know that’s not for everyone. The only other premium exotic I’m selling also has wear, I’m considering selling my croc Miranda but I see you’ve already parted with yours
