Pure new wool UK size 18 Highland Home Industries first got its start in Sutherland Scotland in 1889 after participating in a textile exhibition. The brand had an interesting journey, producing fine Scottish silver pieces as well as tweeds and knitwear. The company appears to be dormant now, but descendants of it’s original founders now create and sell gorgeous silversmith pieces at Aosdana on the Isle of Iona. Unsure of exact clan so far, will update if I find it.

brianfrench259 It's important to know the length, as a kilt is worn to mid-knee, or just slightly above. That one is Black Stewart tartan.

gfwhitefp This is the Black Stuart or Stewart tartan. It is not a kilt, however. It is a lady’s skirt. Wrong proportion got a man’s kilt snd it closes to the left. It’s a very nice garment. Just not a man’s kilt.
