Sterling silver small serving spoon by Georg Jensen Denmark in the Cypress pattern. Created by Tias Eckhoff, the winner of a design competition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Georg Jensen Silversmith in 1953. The simple and modern pattern was an instant success and out-sold the best selling Acorn pattern at the time. The Cypress pattern was in production from 1954 to 1994. This serving spoon features a large round bowl. Measures approx 8 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide across bowl. Weighs approx 90.7g, 58.3dwt Marked GEORG JENSEN in a dotted oval STERLING DENMARK Very nice condition with some light tarnish and slight surface scratches.
