@dreizenspeichen ok you've made my day. Ty :) It never dawned on me that others would have a hard time w it. Women weren't tall when I was growing up (haha) so I guess learning inseam was something I did by default. Anyway ty😊

@dreizenspeichen wow, yea too long is great as far as I'm concerned. I had a few pairs of high waters when I was a kid. I was tall n skinny so it was always a chore to find jeans/pants long enough😕 I spent years buying old navy's longs, it was nice to buy w/out having to try on. Now I can buy skinnies n cuff em. Love being able to do that

@kugelschreiber I have learned so much reading your comments here. I sewed all my clothes in the 70's because I was 5'10" at 13 and they didn't come store bought if over 5'5". thanks for sharing this info. Jeanne

@reesbrown56 Wow ya, thank you! I wish I was able to sew, that must have really freed you up. I always paid attention to the inseam but only recently paid attention to other measurements like waist n rise. Prob from shopping online n realizing I needed to know the difference.
I think low-rise jeans made the difference, 1st time I wore a pair and went to dinner. I got up and felt like they were around my knees😳😮🤪😂 I’d already noticed my muffin top so that was the final nail in THAT coffin😳😂

Thanks...I was a seamstress as a child on so I grew up knowing but I have to laugh when I read some "measurements ". Here's one just yesterday. "For someone 5'6" this is just above knee". There is so much wrong there😂Bless their hearts❤

@luvnbling 😂😂THAT Would Tend to make you NOT want that to happen again.
My thing is Giraffe arms and legs. Bought 3 sweaters online before I realized EVERY brand used different sleeve length. Tired of RePoshing I demand sleeve inseam measurement before buying. I am long waisted and long legged...kinda great when I was young but Pants end up flood waters...When you are in store shopping it's not a big deal because you try before buying❤

@reesbrown56 lol or ‘knee-length’... whose knee??😭😅 I showed up at a friend’s house once for dinner.. she looked at what I was wearing, a tunic and pants, and said Karen, I think that’s supposed to be a dress. 😅

@reesbrown56 wow ok so add that to the needed measurements then. I live in Texas so I guess I don’t wear enough long sleeves to have noticed. So do you measure from the underarm?

@luvnbling Yes, exactly. I just left Houston and I didn't wear Jean's for the entire 37 yrs (5 yrs in New Orleans before). Too F*&%#@$G HOT. Mini skirts, sundresses and lightweight leggings. Now I'm in Seattle(Retired). 3rd generation Seattlite. Learning how to layer all over again 😂❄❄❄❄❄🧣🧤🧣🧤🧣🧤
