Glamour from the 1980's: Gale Hayman Cosmetics

Giorgio fragrance, which was a joint venture between Fred and Gale Hayman made a big yellow and white striped splash in the 1980s. Anyone who remembers Beverly Hills history, it was Gale Hayman's divorce from her partner/husband dividing their fragrance hit sold at the boutique on Rodeo Drive, and made famous by its purchase for 176M to Avon Products, causing the brand to enter the stratosphere of big divorces, with the help of Jackie Collin's "Valley of the Dolls," paperback that dramatized the high finance world that put Gayle on the map in the early 1980s. Her next venture (1984) was the leopard-inspired packaging for her cosmetic line, of which three products are featured here. I collected these as I was her publicist in the very beginning. Leopard a symbol of fashion bravery, remains a testament to those who dare to walk on the wild side. LIPSTICK: "Lip Shimmer 24 carat gold" unused. BLUSH: "natural peach 03" Travel Mirror: has a broken hinge, still functions. Needs TLC. I carried this in my purse so it has lost a few spots. 😎
