christieanglin @saraingreen hi. I absolutely cannot believe this but I think I got scammed. I just got on here a couple of days ago to sell. Is there a number we can call or do we have to go to the customer support that doesn’t get back with us for a couple of days? I think I’ve just spent two full days being yanked around by somebody. Only asking you because yours got hacked and I thought maybe you knew of a direct line or direct access to people at Poshmark.

saraingreen @christieanglin oh no! No, I only heard back from them today via email. I had followed directions to log out > do forgot password > then when creating new password you can click a box to log out any signed in sessions. I think that stopped it. Is someone trying to pay you different than through poshmark? That’s a common scam. I recommend don’t go outside the app to make transactions with anyone, if someone wants to buy something there’s no reason they can’t just buy it from you here.

christieanglin @saraingreen NO. what’s happening, seems odd, there was a link on the email showing the purchase and I went to a chat and it goes directly to Poshmark site and I was chatting with this lady and they keep changing it up, and I said to her what is the problem? I’m just trying to get my shipping labels and she said I can’t get the shipping labels until they make sure my account is secure and they can fund my account so they took a little money out put a little bit i

christieanglin Kept repeating that, and then said I need to make sure my bank let’s Poshmark take 150 out and I said you can and she said make sure and come back to her. So I did something else and then I went back she said I needed 150 in there and then they did a couple more times took some out put some in and then she said I needed another 150

christieanglin And I said what are you talking about? What is the deal? And I told her this doesn’t sound right! She said I needed to hurry up so I’m on here asking you and maybe anyone else that can see this. is that the way it us supposed to happen?! Because it’s weird so I went to the Support on Poshmark and then I got an email from Poshmark Support so I replied to it and then I noticed the little symbol on. It looks different than the regular one so I think I just got scammed.

saraingreen @christieanglin these messages will just show here on your listing. A buyer or seller should never be asking you for additional money. If you bought something from someone you pay directly through poshmark, and if you sell something you print your labels, etc from within poshmark too. If there’s an issue with your payment method you would get some kind of alert or error in poshmark. Support should reply to you over email. I wouldn’t make any transactions until you hear from them.

christieanglin @saraingreen the buyer is not asking me for additional money. OK you know when they first are interested in a product you have and they tell you to go to their profile and there’s a way for them to be contacted.

christieanglin So three people wanted me to email them pictures so that’s what I did and one of them had a link they said was sent to them from Poshmark. I went on the link and it goes to what looks like Poshmark site and so she was trying to set me up. I was in a chat, and the Poshmark person said they were going to do some tests.

saraingreen @christieanglin that’s not something I’ve ever done. If someone is asking you to contact them directly, I’m always suspicious. You can edit your listing to add more pictures or additional information if someone is requesting it. The only way I’ve communicated directly with someone in a chat was after a purchase is already made. I’m sorry it’s hard to figure out what’s happened without seeing it 😅.

christieanglin @saraingreen because there was a link in an email and it took me to what looked exactly like Poshmark side and I thought I was talking to a representative from Poshmark and that they were trying to set my card up and then it got fishy

christieanglin @saraingreen everything looked legit. It took me to Poshmark site and I thought someone was setting my card app to get funded and I just wanted my labels to ship and then I went onto Poshmark site and I went to customer support and I sent a letter saying I feel like I’m being scammed and then I got an email from Poshmark. Mark and I noticed the little letterhead thing looks different.

christieanglin @saraingreen it was doing the same thing to me. Saying I’m trying to negotiate a deal. OK I’ll let you go. I got scammed. I know I did. I just need to talk to someone at Poshmark. I guess I will wait for them to reply, but what’s crazy as as soon as I contacted them on the Support, I got an email and the letterhead looks different. That’s what tipped me off but they got 150 from me. They got 200 from me. Sucks

saraingreen @christieanglin I’m so sorry that happened to you. Poshmark can be confusing in the beginning but I will say that all goes really smoothly on the app and if someone wants you to do things outside the app just decline, they are most likely scams. Such jerks!

And why did somebody contact me after I went to the actual Poshmark customer support?
