jeweladdict @eggcellent22 my manufacturer sells them to me as gold plated and gold filled. Which is how they are made. The gold filled is only 5% real gold, but many people think they are like real gold, but they are not. If you took gold filled bracelets to a jeweler, they would tell you they are worthless fashion bracelets. The problem is the, “hype” has people believing that gold filled are like a real gold bracelet. They are sturdier than gold plated for sure.

jeweladdict But creams lotions soaps and perfumes creams detergents hand sanitizers will damage gold plated and damage gold filled as well. So will salt water or acidic skin types. Long answer, but necessary. My bracelets don’t tarnish easily and do not leave colorations on the skin, but if they get banged/dropped/scraped, they will not be resistant to it. I wear mine in the shower & have never tarnished. I tested these beads by leaving them in a glass of water for 5 days, and they are fine, no issues.
