Hand etched detail. **I am unsure if the gold tone metal is 18k solid gold, as a scratch test/acid test would damage the casing. The ONLY other one I could find anywhere (shown in the photos in my listing) is solid 18k gold, and is attached to a brooch/pin, so it could very well be.
