Clarke was a New Zealand born designer who worked for Hardy Amies & Valentino before opening a boutique on King’s Road in London. simple column goddess dress in terylene with a print of purple, pink & aqua on soft olive ground (that’s Dacron poly to us) is Fortuny pleated with slit front tied with 2 self fabric bows. top bow extends to spaghetti straps & gathered neckline is adjustable. relaxed it measures 35” at bust stretching to 39.” waist & hip are 55” relaxed stretching to 60.” length is 46,” but this varies slightly according to body inside. no sized marked, but would fit a small to large depending on how you like your fit.fabric has the slightest of ribbing & hem is merrow finished in pink that matches pink in print. very packable-fabric dries quickly & pleats stay put.
