Gorgeous Jennifer Nicholson Silk Dress

Absolutely stunning silk dress designed and made by Jennifer Nicholson (Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson’s daughter). Jennifer designed clothing and also had a shop in Venice California (in the cover shot a photo shows her actually working on the design for this dress in an interview she did) This dress was purchased in a Kentucky boutique for $700 and worn once to the Kentucky Derby. It has been stored safely since then. It’s simple yet sexy with a touch of whimsy with her take on a fun magical chinoiserie fabric design. This dress is a story in itself. The silk velvet sash was hand sewn onto the dress (I tried to show in a photo) which makes it delicate and could use to be reinforced (in my opinion). Although the fabric is silk it’s got weight to it so the drape is beautiful. I’ve tried to capture the slight wear on the dress in the velvet sash and fabric (a pin was put in at chest for a more secure closure when worn but you can’t tell except for a tiny rub in fabric).
