Gorgeous Rare Vintage 1950s Ruth Starling Originals Multi Floral Print Dress

Ruth Starling dresses are very rare, and other than knowing she designed dresses in the 50s, I can’t find anything about the company! Features: Square neckline front & back Multiple floral prints Fitted waist Pencil skirt w/inverted pleats in front & back to make it easier to walk Side metal Talon zipper in peplum skirt, but not the green under skirt with a hook/eye at waist Short sleeves Peplum, so it’s like a mini dress over a pencil skirt Princess seaming front and back Unlined Just below knee length on me (but might be longer or shorter on you) Approx. 3” hem allowance so you could make it longer if you want to Tag says Ruth Starling Originals Miami, FL. I don’t see a fabric content label, but I believe it to be cotton. Dress is in excellent vintage condition showing little evidence of wear. It has been cleaned but still smells ever so slightly musty. I’m not sure if the corners of the front neckline were always slightly gathered or if the original owner did it. Measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and doubled as appropriate.
