This designer from the mid 80's created unique up-scale items -- and this velvet top is no exception. Her styles we ONE SIZE for all.
It's not exactly a 'tunic', altho it might be use-able for some as a tunic --
It's a wide scoop neck, deep 'batwing' or dolmen inset sleeves - which are 3/4length.
At the chest - widest area it''s apx. 27" across, so very roomy!
THEN it tapers to 19" across, which is where the piece has side 'slits' and hangs on your hips.
This tapes is what's unique - that seam, which will either be pulled to the waist (for larger folks) or hangs at your hips with movement!
From the neckline to bottom hem is apx 32"
I think of it as a blouson type fit -- which can be worn with jeans, tights -- up-scale it for evening or boho style in the day... looks like current floral designers exploding today!...
Curious about L Adzer? Laise Adzer was a successful Danish designer who created Moroccan inspired clothing. She insisted on using
hand-dyed cotton and careful processing of the fabric she created and imported. The soft susti* cloth was
produced by a small cultural textile house in the ancient Moroccan city of Fez came to her attention some 35-40
years ago. Adzer worked with them exclusively for her designs until her death in 1998. She created flowing
pieces with interesting angles and minimal detail, adding jewelry, belts and scarves to finish a 'look'. Her pieces
were generally in the $200+ range, and were exceptional!
