Our penny loafer was created with two things in mind: versatility and comfort. It's the ultimate shoe for travel, given the ability to be paired with a sport coat or t-shirt and almost anything in between. We find ourselves wearing this shoe year-round-sockless with shorts/lightweight fabrics in the summer and with wool socks and denim through the winter. What exactly is loden? The color's name comes from the German Loden, a course thick woolen fabric. While in the original German, Loden does not necessarily refer to a color, due to the wool of the mountain sheep, the color tends to be an earth color-somewhere between green and brown. The Loden suede paired with dark chocolate welts and edge stain makes for a sharp, plain-toe boot.
