@kimmtrentham thanks for your patience with my response. It’s very difficult for me to know that information, but I put the calf flat across and measured about 4.5” wide. It looks like the material could be leather. It is peeling a touch so perhaps it’s because of the shoe finishing on it. These weren’t cheap when I purchased, so I’m assuming it’s real leather
