Inspired by the Ancient Japanese artist Hokusai's block print waves and the striking discord they present when clashing against the calmness of a quaint New England Landscape Joshy felt a strong creative impulse and went with it. Mixing the two styles while on vacation with family in York Beach, Joshy took his dog Ziggy for a walk to Nubble Lighthouse and from a nearby bench he created "The Great Wave Off Nubble Lighthouse" in watercolors and calligraphy brush pens.
