Vintage brushed gold tone guardian angel tie tac lapel pin from the ARTIFACTS collection designed by Jonette Jewelry. Circa 1980’s. The pin is signed with the JJ mark. This shiny pin features a polished gold tone cherub angel body and open wings that are matte gold tone. The contrast gives the pin dimension. It measures 2.5” wide and 1.25” long. The pin was never worn and is in excellent condition; no signs of wear. It does not have the original carded backing of the ARTIFACTS collection. It is Made In The USA. Jonette Jewelry Company of Providence, Rhode Island, began as The Providence Jewelry Company somewhere between 1935 and 1943. This company is widely known for marketing novelty jewelry, especially brooches, although they sold other types as well. The JJ mark was first used around 1970. The company went out of business in 2006 and therefore, their jewelry is becoming increasingly harder to find.
