Guatemalan Tipico Worry Doll Bag

NWOT guipil patchwork with three worry dolls. black cotton interior and strap. zipper close. back is black jaspe. the guipil patches are hand loomed/embroidered. guipil is the traditional Mayan blouse worn by the women in Guatemala. they have mostly been sold for parts and are harder to find. there are vintage markets where the women sell the blouses, but they are running out. this is a true little piece of something historic. the story of the worry doll is that they take your worries away.
