HAND KNIT Wool Sweater - KAFFE FASSET pattern

This sweater is ALL THAT is wonderful about Kaffe FASSET with the brilliance and beauty that the designer is known for! This is a vintage handknit sweater designed by Kaffe Fassett called ‘Toothed Stripe’ It’s hard to buy a Kaffe Fasset unless its through one of the brands he collaborates with (COACH, Peruvian Connection, etc) But the sweaters I would always drool over were the ones in knitting magazines and books. So you had to knit them, or find someone to knit one for you. I found some great vintage ones on Etsy, including this one. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t look great on me with all the colors. So I’ve been admiring it like a piece of art but it’s time to let it be worn out in the world. So I’m listing it. It includes cottons, acrylics, wool and mohair. This one has been mended a few times along the hem (prior to my purchase) but it seems sturdy and is in great condition, though I would think more delicate than a machine made sweater and will require gentle hand washing. The jumper measures 25 inches 64 cms across the chest and is 27 inches 69 cms from nape to hem. Orig price shown is what I paid for it on Etsy. So I’m discounting it to sell here but yes, it’s still a high priced item. The model photo is from the magazine the pattern was in, and was in the Etsy listing. That oversized fit is not how the sweater fits me (size 8-10) but would fit that way perhaps on an XS-S. I’m marking this as a M but would fit a small L as well.
