It's more durable and wrinkle-resistant than plain weave. • Quite a few classic/ popular carres (including this one: ‘Cavaliers Du Caucase’) have been reissued with different color palettes, for multiple variations of the same design. • Most carres have the following features embedded within their artwork: (1) the artist’s signature, (2) “Hermes” lettering, sometimes accompanied by (3) the ©️ logo, and (4) the scarf name displayed on a section of the design. • Their composition is special, in that designs are structured around the diagonals or along circles. • They are almost always 90x90cm, weighing approx. 63 grams. • Edges of the silk foulards are rolled by hand from the back towards the front, then fixed with tiny silk thread stitches.
