Wonderful, vintage Hermès A la Gloire de Guillaume 90 cm silk square scarf in vibrant royal blue, dark blue, red, green, and orange tones. The design pays homage to the Bayeux Tapestry of Queen Matilda and depicts different historical scenes including how William of Normandy defeated Harald of England at Hastings in 1066. This original issue is from 1991 and is the only issue of this scarf making this design very rare. 100% silk Made in France Original and only issue from 1991 Designed by Loïc Dubigeon Historical themed Hand rolled hems/edges Signed Hermès Paris Signed by artist With attached care tag on back Good condition Some faint white marks/stains on front and back of scarf, mostly around the center and upper left part of the design (see photos), hems are plump, colors are vibrant, silk is crisp.
