Wonderful vintage Hermès La Clé des Champs 90 cm silk jacquard square scarf with pink, off white, gold, brown, blue, and green tones. The name is a reference to the French idiom meaning "to take the key to the fields" or embrace nature. Different types of birds are rendered in delicate detail atop a golden scroll and tree branches. This original issue is from 1965 on "H" silk jacquard, which is rare and no longer produced by Hermès. 100% silk "H" jacquard Made in France Original issue from 1965 Designed by Francoise Faconnet Nature and bird themed Hand rolled hems/edges Signed Hermès-Paris with early copyright Signed by artist Good/fair condition Fine pulls throughout although mostly hidden by design, two faint marks (see photos).
