HERTWIG GERMAN ANTIQUE CHINA DOLL c.1880, Genuine * Genuine Antique German CHINA Doll Hertwig Co. Marked 4. Pat. Dec. 7/80 * Black hair (painted porcelain) "modified highbrow hairline" (Hertwig designation) * Apparel is Vintage apron with lace trim (appears to NOT be original clothing, but does appear to be vintage) * Cloth torso with print corset, cloth upper arms, upper legs * Porcelain head, shoulders, lower arms, lower legs and shoes * Arms and legs are "articulated" at shoulder and hips * Doll is 8" tall and in very good antique condition * Please refer to photos for additional details * Please read all condition notes below and refer to very close up photos (Last 3 photos) * Note #1: Doll back shows 2 tiny edge chips & 1 small fabric discoloration * Note #2: Doll head has a small black spot on forehead, it is in the porcelain and appears to be original and porcelain "glazed" * Note #3: Doll right shoe has a small edge chip with some age related discoloration * Based on research this is a Rare Find for this doll/size/condition/age
